Alberts daunting climb
Albert encounters the Mountain God

Albert the Flying Sheep has been evolving for some time and he might have been spotted on occasions mistaken for a UFO or just a large awkward bird.

Albert was always an unusual sheep as you would imagine for one that could fly and discovered his talent at an early age. He knew that he was not destined to graze all day and be happy with his lot in life. He wanted to explore the world having new and exciting adventures.

He clearly was not going to do this in Creag Meagaidh National Nature Reserve in Scotland.Albert is a fun character, full of life who believed that anything in life was possible.

He believed in turning his dreams into reality and was never scared to be different one of his many good characteristics. His mom would disagree and was always worried about her mischievous son.

For those scholars out there, well Albert is a Cheviot and his family arrived in this area of the world in 1780.They are extremely hardy sheep and were bred to look after themselves. The Cheviot is a distinctive white-faced sheep, with a wool-free face and legs, pricked ears, black muzzle and black feet. It is a very alert, active sheep, with a stylish, lively carriage.

Albert met most of these charateristics except he was not a white fleece.

Albert's mom and dad together with his immediate family do not conform to strict farming principles. For a number of years their family have been a nomadic flock wandering the Glenn, Crags, Brae’ and Lochs of Creag Meagaidh(Gaelic for’ Crag of the Boggy Place’) and have adapted to this life style living side by side with the mountain hares, ptarmigan and other wildlife – enough of the genealogy and history.

This is where Albert has discovered his need to travel and explore. The following tales and tribulations will recount Albert’s adventures from his home in Scotland to exotic destinations and shores.

So if you have seen Albert on top of the Pyramids, taking in the magnificence of the Grand Canyon, trekking through the Amazon or walking on The Great Wall of China contact Albert’s Adventures and we can add them to his web page.
